Why you need to change

Starting in 2011 Google lowered the rank of sites with very little or low quality content especially content farms. Google wants to reward high quality sites with significant amounts of useful content that Google searchers actually want.

What do I need to do

Firstly find out if your site has been penalised. Click on http://feinternational.com/website-penalty-indicator/ and do the following.

You will then get the following screen. If you have no problem with the Panda algorithm your traffic will be stable or rising at every red line.

Here is a now famous example of a brand that suffered a catastrophic Panda penalty. Look at the drop in traffic and imagine if that happened your hotel. If you see a major drop on the Panda (red) line you will need to create significant amounts of content in order to reverse the penalty. This is Goolge’s way of saying give your guests the content that they want and expect in your pages or we won’t list your hotel in our search results. Call me if you are penalised and I will tell you the content my research tells me your guests and Google want to see.
