Why do we need to do this

Domain Authority is an algorithm based on your entire domain or site and built around the links to your site. High domain authority will increase your search rankings in Google.

What does this mean

Domain Authority is an algorithm with a 100 point scale created by a company called Moz which employs 40 ranking signals which are all related around the number of links to your site. Multiple links from the same site only count as one link and a large number of links from low authority sites can be beaten by a small number of links from high authority sites.

How do I find my Domain Authority: Click on http://smallseotools.com/domain-authority-checker/ then do as follows.

Here is your Domain Authority score out of 100.

Why are the scores different: One is the score for the individual page we inserted and the other is for the entire site.

How to improve your Domain Authority: Get relevant sites especially local ones to create links to your site. Important: Do not buy links on the internet, Google will penalise your site. Also many of the searchers who look up local activities, attractions, local concerts and conferences etc are looking for a hotel room. If your hotel is on these sites is gives you credibility and the link may give you a booking so do each other a favour and place links on each other’s sites. It creates a win win in respect of your Domain Authority and bookings. Also remember that Google ranks pages not sites so get links to the exact pages you want guests to land on.
