Why do I need to do this

Google rewards pages with higher rankings that have links from high quality sites. A few high quality links can outweigh many low quality links.

What does this mean

Google believe that high quality pages link to other high quality pages and more importantly that low quality sites such as spam sites link to low quality sites. You therefore need to check the quality of the links to your site and disavow low quality links.

How do I find a pages PageRank: Click on http://smallseotools.com/google-pagerank-checker/ then do as follows:

Here is your Google PageRank score out of 10.

How to improve your PageRank: Request links from relevant pages especially local ones to your site. Important: Do not pay for links on the internet, Google will penalise your site. Also many of the searchers who look up local activities, attractions, local concerts and conferences etc are looking for a hotel room. If your hotel has a link on these sites is gives you credibility and the link may give you a booking so do each other a favour and place links on relevant pages on each other’s sites. It creates a win win in respect of your PageRank and bookings.
